The Foundation has a special focus on the Northern California counties of Alameda and West Contra Costa and only considers grants directly benefiting these communities.

GUIDELINES

All prospective organizations’ requests must be consistent with the following West Davis & Bergard Foundation guidelines:

  • The organization directly benefits the Northern California counties of Alameda and West Contra Costa
  • The organization has been established as a 501(c)(3) program for at least two (2) years
  • Our grants will go to IRS classified 501(c)(3) organizations promoting diversity and equal opportunity
  • Our By-Laws do not allow for funding “fiscally sponsored” 501 (c)(3) organizations
  • Programs will be open and accessible to all segments of society

EXCLUSIONS

The West Davis & Bergard Foundation does NOT award grants for:

  • Individuals
  • Organizations whose chief purpose is to influence legislation or to participate or intervene in political campaigns on behalf of or against any candidate for public office

The deadlines for consideration at the quarterly meetings are February 15th, May 15th, August 15th and November 15th.
